2011 SUNSCREEN GUIDE FROM EWG

Environmental Working Group (EWG) just finished its guide of sunscreens for 2011. Of the 1,700 sunscreen products rated, Dermagenics was in the top 1%, earning a top score of "1". Read on to find out more...

We always knew our physical sunscreen was special, and it's great to have EWG agree! All-physical UV blockers (zinc oxide and titanium dioxide) combined with sophisticated formulation provides 95% UVA and UVB protection. We do not use any potentially irritating or harmful chemicals, so our sunscreen is safe to use and doesn't sting the eyes! What could be better? Well, we also got rid of the white residue and greasiness that comes standard with many sunscreens.

To create the 2011 sunscreen guide, EWG looked at UVA and UVB protection and balance, the safety of ingredients used, and ingredient degradation (product stability.) So why exactly did Dermagenics do so well? The zinc oxide and titanium dioxide used in our formulation are micronized and coated, so they provide excellent (true) full spectrum protection, and also fade to clear once rubbed in. These all-physical UV filters are exceptionally stable, and provide long-lasting protection from the sun. Our sunscreen is highly water resistant and does not require frequent re-application.

Dermagenics is recommended by leading dermatologists because of the superior protection it provides, for daily use and particularly during periods of recovery or extra UV sensitivity.
