I'm a man, and I care about my skin. Now that we got that bombshell out of the way, let's continue. It seems that manliness and skin care have always been at odds. This is because skin care has traditionally been associated with "beauty", and considered a female activity, while "real men" aren't supposed to care about how we look. I recently started taking a closer look at my skin care routine, and made a simple change that had dramatic results. How could a cleanser make me look so much better? Read on to find out more...
Before starting work at Dermagenics, I did not know a lot about skin care. The last four months have been like a crash course in skin care. I have been exposed to the typical industry tricks, and learned how my company approaches skin care in a fundamentally different way. For example, when developing our Purifying Smart Cleanser, we examined what was wrong with most cleansers, and then created something completely different.
My old cleanser contained soap, and I remember it making my skin dry and dull. Because our new cleanser doesn't contain soap, it allows my true complexion to show through, without drying out my skin. Also, my old cleanser was not non-comedogenic, so it's possible that it was clogging my pores. Our cleanser is both non-comedogenic and hypoallergenic, which means it keeps my skin healthy.
My experience with our new cleanser has changed the way I think about skin care. I now have a first hand experience that even the basic steps in a skin care routine can have a major impact on skin health, and therefore skin appearance. If you haven't tried a cleanser that maintains your natural pH balance, is soap free, and non-comedogenic, you might be surprised how much of a difference it can make.
